AGX Medical matters 6 July 2007
This set of essays is intended to give readers the information I have collected over a number of years. If you have read the 'index' Home Page, you will know that I am a bit long in the tooth. I hope to give some other wrinkles a bit of support in any medical matter that I have undergone. By the time you reach my age, various bits of your body will begin to show signs of wear, but all is not lost! And, I am a regular reader of New Scientist and that magazine covers some unusual medical subjects. Click on the link below to take you to the subject that interests you and it will take you to an essay on that subject. It must be stated that all I talk about relates to me, but I am assuming that most (regrettably not all) old men have similar problems, and (again I'm assuming) similar treatments will apply.
I do have one feature that is close to unique. I have never had a cigarette in my mouth despite years ago a woman at a party trying to get me to smoke a fag. So I have one advantage; I do not suffer from the nicotine habit that is the scourge of many other souls. But if you smoke, whatever your age, giving up will improve your chances of becoming a doddery old fogy like me.
